High AV list

Is it apparent to everyone that 6e 40k is a shooting man's game?
CC is troublesome.

Do you think having a list with high AV is a decent counter to mass shooting?

Mass AV13 and AV14 vehicles...at 2000 pts do you think it is viable?

Pretty much immune to S7 or less...granted glancing on S7 6's but few and far between.
Looking at the counter to Tau, IG and GK.

Mass S8 and S9 shooting is hard to get in most lists. Possible but hard to get and still be viable.

If you can mass AV 14, I'd test it out. I think tau will just murder anything else. Especially squadrons. Missile-sides with support commander will have 24 s7 twinlinked tank hunting shots coming your way. There is also the guard gunline and fire dragon spam lurking about. Anti-tank has not gone away with vehicles. Every new 'dex seems to be getting some new BAMF monsterous creature.

I can tell you that I've recently rewritten my GK lists to spam a bit more S8-S9 than I used to. Mostly because LRs are making a comeback. Hard as it is to spam things 200+ points but it looks like the only way to make heavy armor viable.

I would add that at the 2k point value, you can pretty much make anything viable. Double force org. leads to alot of gimmicks but alot of unrealized strength too.

Mass AV-13 is a beast.
look at some of the more recent GT results, and if it isn't the 'soup du jour' (flavor of the day), then Necron ark/barge spam seems to deliver some serious difficulty.

AV-13 is cost efficient. Aside from orks, AV-14 is not.
