What do you really expect? When a parent company goes out of its way to discourage competetive play, you've got to expect this kind of thing. This is why I find myself going to Warmachine tournaments over 40k ones. Win or lose, I always feel that I had a chance. Fluff armies are as competetive as non fluff armies. But, mostly, I have fun.

I normally enjoy Reecius' articles just for the flavor, whether or not I support the subject (they do have a few good writers on BoLS).
On the surface, this is the same.
Further reading, though, brings to the fore something that happens every time (see first article points) are brought up.
He glossed over all the suggestions (for the most part) and focused on 'COMP', in its least appealing formats, as a focus for his counter-argument. There wasn't even true lip service paid to the other options/solutions/suggestions Thomas put up in his article, nor an acceptance of well designed/thought out 'COMP' style handicapping/rewards.
