| This was a practice game for the ladder tourney. Since I was using this as a play test game for mission 3 so I choose to attack. As a Guard player I'm pretty used to defending so I wanted to test being the attacker. I was also gaugeing how easy it would be to get max points. Death Guard was a good test as they are one of the most resilent armies around and while it may seem that I came close to achieving it it needs said that the Plague Marines sacrificed long range fire power for thier staying power and in doing so meant I was pretty free to fire at will and only suffered causulties when I alpha striked his landraider on turn 2 putting my guys with in range of the marines meltas and the Daemon Princes charge range. Keeping that in mind and remembering that most armies have at least more fire power than Mack had means that with damage from the defending players shooting will make it even harder for the attacker. OR I could just be full of Crap. Anyways here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCcBNS_NMZs | |

| Good report Monger. How many turns did you play? It should be a flat 6 turns.
You gotta remember Callidus' hit and run is at the start of her assault phase...
Maybe change up the waves? Bring the executioners on the side???
You up for a playtest as the defender Sat?
I am working on a 'funny' BA list. I think I would choose to be the attacker in Mission 3.

| 6 turns
Callidus is any assualt phase
The Executioner was the star of the game claiming 5 raptors and 14 plague marines. I brought on all my armour 14 first wave for survivability reasons and HQ's on the third wave for the same reason. In hind sight I should have alpha striked on the other side where his general was and as it turned out his guy carrying the vital info who just happened to be the champion in that same plague marine unit. All the eggs in one Land Raider and all my meltas ended up on the other side of the board. I knew the general was there but I had more room on the other side. Thought I could get one unit back over there...Wrong almost but that doesn't count. I have thought of reconfiguring the waves. Have to give it some thought.
Don't know yet. The wife hasn't said anything about christmas shopping. I'll know something tomorrow.

| Callidus- that is what I meant to say.
What does your round 1 and round 2 setup look like? Squadron LRBT's...rough. The Manticore didn't perform well? Round 1 will a big challenge for Mech IG. I am worried about horde Ork/Nids...
I haven't decided on firepower or CC in round 2 and 3 yet but it looks like it is CC in round 1...
I think BA will have a challenge in the early rounds.
From the signup list, it looks like Space Wolves, Marines, Blood Angels, Demons, Orks and Nids. Brady could bring whatever and Wayno will probably stick to his WH's.

| 1st wave was Leman russ squadron, executioner, manticore, empty chimera, callidus 2nd wave was 3 vendettas, melta pcs, melta vets, Infantry squad Hordes don't bother me, plenty of templates and av 14. The manticore didn't do well but I must admit that I forgot to roll 2 d6 for ordinance every time and I shot at his landraider 3 out of 4 times. | |
