So I was noticing that the abyssal staff Crypteks can have is ap 1. It has no affect on vehicles, so what's the point? Ap 2 would have sufficed in regards to armor save.

Seeing how this dex was taylored for 6th edition, do you think that ap1 will cause some sort of additional effect against infantry.... instant death maybe.

Could be...I think it lines up with the Neural Shredder for the Callidus.

Ok.

Necrons:
Abyssal Staff Template S 8 AP 1
- To wound rolls are made against Leadership rather than Toughness. No effect against Vehicles.

Grey Knights:
Neural Shredder Template S 8 AP 1
- To wound rolls are resolved against target's Leadership rather than Toughness. Cannot harm Vehicles.

They are the same weapon except that the NShredder is a Pistol. Both weapons speak of mental effects.

I believe that the 6th ed forethought is the AP 1 has additional effects vs Infantry - Instant Death or auto pinning (having some psychological effect on the unit).

I saw a rumor about the AP 1 rule...looked for it but couldn't find it...will keep looking.
