| Those wraiths are just resiliant as hell! Threw everything but the kitchen sink at those damn things... phase shifter saves galore!!!
I actually went against my usual game plan and moved towards the enemy so I could double tap everything on them. PS saves and allocation really hurts.
IMO... wraiths are a must in a Cron list!

just waiting on the damned models...stoopid GW gits. those, and scythes. Though I do believe you can be viable without them, they are definitely in there for one of the 'good' builds. I really, REALLY, just hope the models come out as nice as the 'dex art. | |

| Monger talked to Brady the other day and he said he would get on the casting. The balls in his court... he has the figs and materials. Hopefully they will be done by CAG. | |

| At first I wasn't liking it much and actually stopped using it after the first couple of games. Replaced it with a CTan but that didn't jive either so I went back to it and I really don't see myself not including one in my list now, unless I wanted to spam Doom Scythes. For my list anyways it fulfills so many roles. Why the change in heart? Well the first game I kept it in reserve and deep struck in. But that didn't happen till the fourth turn and had to land so far away to avoid a mishap that I didn't really get anything out of it. Second game it was destroyed early. So as many people do when one of their special units doesn't do well it got shelved. Experience finally kicked in and I realized it wasn't the Monolith but how I used it and a lucky shot. It happens...deal with it while the rules have changed slightly it still plays it role, quite well usually. In this last game it only fired the pie plate once all game as it was busy relocating troops most of the game. The roles it plays for me is: 1. AV14-battle cannon 2. Troop deployment/relocation 3. Mobile terrain 4. Distraction unit 5. Non-distraction unit (is ignored allowing free reign of use) 6. Area denial Nothing really new there and I don't expect it to fulfill all these roles all the time. Sometimes just one is enough. | |
