| What do you think about the use of fortifications? Anyone building a list around fortifications?
My understanding is that the fortifications are a part of the terrain (25%, 2x2) and setup along with the terrain. How do you see fortifications working in tournaments where the tables are typically preset? Maybe the player gets to remove one from his table half to "deploy" his fortification?

| I am still torn about this one. I have no plans of bringing them in my lists.
Seriously, if I see a fortification full of troops I am getting rid of that thing fast. If it is loaded with troops that could be bad for them. Then again depending on the scenario you may be able to avoid the fortification.
Bringing one may depend on your army and how you are goinig to use it.
But I still won't bring one. (Unless I get a Guard army)
I am not sure how a TO would call it. But exchanging a piece of terrain with the fortification sounds like it could work.

| Looks like I was right with the Defense Line but didn't have a solid rule to go with...one contiguous line. | |

| It made sense...but in classic GW fashion, shoddy wording delivered a different RAW message than RAI. | |

| THe intent I am sure was one solid line all along, the rules however said you could break it up.. so as always you have to go with respecting the TO's choice.
Not being able to split it up changes my use for the thing a bit in my testing so might drop it for something else.. Since we are talking Fortifications I was curious are we going to be banning any of them locally? I don't want to test with them or consider taking them if I won't be allowed to use them at any events?
Do we know what other TO's are considering doing?

| I know that (if) when I get around to running something (finally) I will NOT be banning them. They're an integral part of the current system...and unlike Double FOC, not broken beyond all measure. | |

| I wouldn't ban them either but need to find a reasonable way to place the larger ones on fixed terrain tables. | |
