Looking thru the codex I was checking out Abaddon as I have used him many times in the older codex' and was wondering about something. It says that he has all the marks but doesn't say that any of the stat increases are already included in his profile or am I missing it some how? There is a side note reminding you to increase his invuln save due to the mark of Tzeentch but thats it.

With that being said is Abaddon now T-6, I-7, 4++, rage and a re-roll for charge distances? I believe his stats have not changed from the last codex but it said that his stats increases were included in his profile in the old codex. If I disregard what I know from the old codex and go strictly by this new one then I would think "yes" what does everyone else think about this?

no, I am using him as listed.

a few reasons;
a)his statline is clearly represented of a 'bump' in each stat that would be affected by said marks (over the other lord equivalents averages pre-mark)

b)the only reference directly to a stat difference other than listed IS the 4++, which would need to be noted specifically if all else is already included (as invulns are never listed on statline, just wargear/spcl rules)

c)it is consistent with every incarnation of the character...either included OR listed specifically. this continues that trend

any reach into the realm of 'whoops, here I go...power up!' would make him worth 350pts base, and nigh as powerful (aside from some minor differences) to the primarchs currently listed in the 'Horus Heresy' FW books.
(and finally whilst it says 'has all the marks', RAW doesn't support that beyond the 'fluff' wording in the rule entry)

and to amend myself (I knew there was a reason that it was a no-go, but couldn't remember context clearly)

CSM codex, pg 30. Marks of Chaos inset, 2nd sentence of first non-italicized paragraph;
"When a 'MoC' is listed in a unit's special rules, its effects will have already been taken into account in its profile, where applicable".

and that's what I'm talking about, thank you. I couldn't find that to save my life, thought it might be a shadow from 5th or something. I thought it was strange that's why I said "...disregarding what I know from the old codex.." I tried Army Builder but it's not updated yet. Smile

I will also say that I'm not a big fan of this codex' layout. I'm sure I'll get used to it. The reference sheet in the back comes in handy sometimes but I wish they would have just made it an extra page instead of a fold out. Mine already has a small crease in it. Sad
