Lysander's Fists of Dorn

Sold the Eldar and a small Khorne army, all of which helped fund my idea of making a Space Marine army, Imperial Fists chapter. This past week I started putting everything together. I'll post as I get figs done. All the bases are from Dragon Forge and are the "slate wasteland" design.

These first few pics are of what I've put together so far. The pic with the Librarian also has my 3 objective markers, also from Dragon Forge.

Is the stuff in his left hand custom or a bit?

I think it is the flash from the camera...feels like you are missing ridge detail around the yellow. Could be my early morning eyes...

The flame in his hand is a gun discharge bit from Armor cast.... compliments of the goodie bag at A-con.

I did do the white ridge detail but the Delvan Mud wash made it obsolete, so I won't do it on the rest of the figs. No sense in doing it if it doesn't show up.

Wayno, I'll keep you posted on my progress and then we'll see what we can do about those Daemons.

I didn't get as much done this past week as I would have liked. My 3 objective markers and my first rhino.

This is what the razorbacks will look like.

I got the first Devastator squad done.

The tech marine is done.

I know what you're thinking... HoD, you dumb arse, you put the servo arms on backwards and upside down. I did this to reduce his profile and allow him to utilize cover better. If I would have put them on "correctly", he's just too big of a a target, thus the reclined postition. I also didn't put the other two arms on his servo harness 'cause I don't think I will ever take the upgrade.

I received Pedro in the mail the other day and counldn't resist getting him done.... he's a Son of Dorn too.

After some playtesting... I've added more sternguard, but that's about it.

No termies yet. When I get to doing the assault force of my Fists, then I'll get some. For right now, it's the static force.

It's been a few weeks since I posted an update on the Fists. I painted Wayno's Princes then started back on the marines. I finished off the tac squad I was working on. Also painted my first sternguard, the sergeant with a melta bomb. Not much different than the basic marine except the black helmets and a few more purity seals.

Finally got the Land Raider done. Man, I think it took me over 2 weeks to do. I tried to do the masking method on the lettering and Aquila, but the smaller sections of the eagle just wouldn't cut out right... too small. So I ended up drawing it on with pencil then painting it in.

Probably one of the best Land Raiders I have ever seen, looks great Mack.
