| Yeah. I own 3 Knights. I own everything I listed here except for the space wolves ( friend has them but doesn't play anymore). | |

| Wouldn't the 0-1 fortification limit you to just one void generator? | |

| I don't believe so. For 50pts you get a Void Shield Generator. That gives you an AV13 building that produces a Void Shield with a 12" radius. As an upgrade to the Void Shield Generator you can buy up to 2 extra shields for 25pts each. I have never seen it played that you get x3 Void Shield Generators instead of just a "stronger" one.
I'll have to look it up for a very RAW answer to your question though.

| Here is the rule as I currently have it. - Quote :
0-1 Fortifications are allowed and must use the updated rules presented in Stronghold Assault. Army may only contain a maximum of one Fortification regardless of how many might be available from various Detachments I will first begin by being completely honest and say it has been a while since I looked at stronghold book. I don't have access to it right now either and typically do not use fort except the aegis or bastion. If the additional Void Shields are upgrades then you only have 1 fort. Do the Void sheilds just expand the range for the generator? Your list looks badass BTW. I know some tournaments that band the lance form specifically. I'm trying to avoid banning specific formations, dataslates, ect.

| I think its ok (the list that is) lacks the over the top shooting that fits my most preferred play style. What it does well is get to The mid-field and threaten assaults. It's got great mobility for late game objectives. It has enough units to control objectives in a malestrom mission. It has 3 real threats in those Knights. Think Ivan Drago from the Rocky movies, they punch you, you die.
Not sold that the shields will hold forever but getting the Knights to the middle of the board without harm is key. Keeping low str dakka off my small OBSec units is key too. If I can summon well enough, it really becomes a quick assault army (deamonettes) and Knights.

| 2nd option would be...
Summonseer w/ jet bike, mantle, stone x2 3-man windseeker jet bike squads x4 5-man dire avenger squads w/ wave serpents, to-scatter lasers, holos Tau Firebade Cadre w/ Riptide w/ FnP, interceptor, ion acc x2 3-man Broadsides, missiles, more missiles, interceptor Culexus
Lots of TL high str firepower, x10 OBSec units, summoning, and an assassin for deathstars.the riptide could drop the weapon option and FnP and pickup sky fire too. Like the pie plate str8ap2 though

| First mission was replaced in the tournament packet. There were some things unclear from the play testing and I decided to pay it safe. | |

| Your unit attrition points need evaluating. Can't tell if the rules are right or the example is right but neither one match. (ie. HQ=3 in one spot and 2 in another, same goes for Elites. One says 2pts the other 1)
If you are scoring maelstrom points each player turn mission two seems okay, if you are scoring maelstrom points each game turn then all three missions favor going second.
I also think that Last Blood is a political way of fending off First player scoring First Blood bias but I've always concidered First Blood a consession to player two OBSec'ing your guts out at the end of the game.

| Scratch the 2nd turn comment, just seen the updated mission1... That is an alpha strike mission if I ever saw one!
I no longer think there is any real advantage to going 1st or second over the coarse of the day.
Honestly might change my list for Coteaz again though.

... Sometimes it is good to mix up the missions and have one that is not Objectives based.

| Turnout was the lowest it has been so far with 6. Just last month I was concerned about getting the extra tables setup.
Top spot was Nathan with Black Templar. From memory, he ran an Imp Knight, a FW Imp Knight, FW Sicaran battle tank, Whirlwind, landspeeder. Second went to Alex with his Blood Angels and Will was very close to Alex with CSM running Helbrute dataslates.
Good news was store prize support. Top spot was $50 store cert and second $30 store cert and all other players $10 cert.
